The Urban Air Mask VS the Lite Air Mask

The Urban Air Mask VS the Lite Air Mask

LAST WEEK WE LAUNCHED OUR NEWEST ADDITION TO THE AIRINUM FAMILY, THE LITE AIR MASK.

The Lite Air Mask is built on our award-winning design heritage. The Lite Air Mask has a lot of similarities to the Urban Air Mask 2.0 launched in 2018. The Lite Air Mask comes with a mask skin treated with Polygiene®, a Swedish fabric treatment that permanently protects the outside skin-fabric from bacteria and other germs, same as the Urban Air 2.0 mask, and is also washable together with replaceable filters. Both the Urban Air Mask 2.0 and the Lite Air Mask are made to last and are more environmentally friendly than disposable masks.

Although the same filtration technology and filter certification, there are some important differences to take into consideration when you are picking which mask from Airinum to use. The most noticeable difference is the new feather light feel and stretchy design of the Lite Air Mask, compared to the hightech filtration system of the Urban Air Mask 2.0 with a more robust design, providing a more adjustable and tighter fit.

To help you find the right Airinum mask for your needs, we have outlined the different features of the Lite Air Mask and the Urban Air Mask in this support article.

WHEN TO CHOOSE THE URBAN AIR MASK 2.0

With its superior protection, adjustable fit and certified filtration, the Urban Air Mask 2.0 is the most advanced air mask out there. It will protect you against air pollution, smog, pollen, allergens, and bacteria. The Urban Air Mask 2.0 is tested at RISE R&D center in Sweden & is KN95 certified, similar to an industrial N95 or FFP2 mask, making it the best choice for an anti-pollution mask and/or if you are suffering from allergies or respiratory diseases.

Due to the ventilation system, the Urban Air mask 2.0 is also more suitable for higher respiratory rate e.g. when biking, sport etc. than the Lite Air Mask which comes without exhalation valves.

When to choose the Lite Air Mask

With our new Lite Air Mask we are staying true to our mission to help people breathe clean air, by offering great filtration of dangerous particles in the air such as smog and toxic gases, but also allergens and airborne bugs. However, if you are seeking a high level pollution mask for urban surroundings, we recommend the Urban Air Mask 2.0 with its superior protection. What to also consider is that due to lack of ventilation system, the Lite Air Mask is less optimized for higher respiratory rate e.g. when biking, sport etc.

If you are looking for an air mask intended for travelling, flying and grocery shopping during Covid circumstances, the Lite Air Mask is the perfect choice. With a design which does not feature breathing valves it will meet any local mask regulations, while at the same time give you the protection you need to stay safe and healthy.

The Lite Air Mask is also great for usage when being indoor or for long term use due to its light feel and stretchy design, while at the same time providing premium protection.
